Important Notes for StatiCAD and SAP2000 Integrated Analysis
- The model created in StatiCAD can be transferred to SAP2000 and after analysis, SAP2000 analysis results can be imported back into StatiCAD. Importing a project created in SAP2000 into StatiCAD is currently not possible.
- If you create the model in StatiCAD, after transferring to SAP2000, you can change wall thicknesses, apply desired mesh or subdivision to the model, and import SAP2000 results. However, if you add new elements in SAP2000 after exporting, StatiCAD will not consider the new elements.
- If you cannot complete the SAP2000 export/import operations in a single session, save the StatiCAD and SAP2000 exported data files separately. Make SAP2000 modifications and save at any desired time. To re-establish the StatiCAD-SAP2000 connection in a new session, re-export the data from StatiCAD to SAP2000. In the opened SAP2000 program, open the SAP2000 data you previously edited and saved (analyze if you haven't already), and import the SAP2000 results from within StatiCAD.
- The SAP2000 version must be compatible with the StatiCAD version. Check the StatiCAD website for compatible SAP2000 versions.
