POURING READY-MIX CONCRETE WITH A PUMP
POURING READY-MIX CONCRETE WITH A PUMP
1) To ensure homogeneity and prevent formation of unwanted joints, concrete should be poured by filling the cross-section completely. If the formwork is not well made, this process can cause columns to burst.
2) In column and shear wall concrete, the pump end hose should be inserted into the formwork as far as possible. In shear wall concrete, the concrete should not be slammed against the formwork surface. The speed of the concrete must be reduced to prevent segregation and formwork deformation.
3) In slab concrete, progress should be made by filling the cross-section and leveling.
4) If the formwork is not trusted, columns should first be poured in stages diagonally, followed by the slab being poured diagonally.
5) Care must be taken that workers holding the pump and hose do not stand under the boom.
6) The maximum pouring height of concrete is 170 cm, and the horizontal pouring distance is 150 cm.
7) The concrete should be placed, compacted, and leveled within approximately 3 hours from the time of production.
