PREPARATIONS REQUIRED BEFORE READY-MIX CONCRETE

PREPARATIONS REQUIRED BEFORE READY-MIX CONCRETE

1) Quality formwork must be used. Quality formwork ensures that the concrete is well processed and has a good appearance.

2) The formwork must be cleaned before concrete is poured. Otherwise, foreign materials affect the appearance and strength.

3) Cleaned formwork must be oiled with formwork oil. This process ensures easy removal of formwork and a smooth concrete surface.

4) Before concrete pouring, our formwork must be watered, especially in hollow-core (asmolen) slabs. Otherwise, the formwork absorbs the water from the concrete, and cracks may form.

5) When pouring new concrete over old concrete, the old concrete surface must be cleaned and moistened.

6) When reinforcement is prepared, a concrete cover (clear cover) must be left between the reinforcement and the formwork.
