Obtaining Timber Project Drawings in StatiCAD
In the current version, the program provides foundation layout plan, floor plan, formwork plan, and axis-by-axis side view details of the building for timber project drawings.
To obtain drawings, run the analysis on your project. After analysis, check the inadequate element status as described in the relevant article. To obtain the foundation layout plan, floor plan, and formwork plan drawings in a combined format, click the "Create Drawing and Draw Floor Plans" button.
Review the generated drawing. If the level of detail is not as desired, you can change the options in the Foundation Plan, Floor Plan, and Formwork Plan tabs and regenerate the drawing by clicking the "Create Floor Plans" button again. Save the drawing you created and found suitable as a DXF file as described in the drawing outputs article.
To obtain axis-by-axis side views of the building, view the drawing using the "Draw Section/Side View" button in the Expansions tab. Save as DXF as described above. Combine the drawings from the two files in AutoCAD, StatiCAD-TechnicDraw drawing editor, or any DXF-compatible drawing program.
