If TBDY2018 is selected as the code on the code selection page, the following page where TBDY2018 earthquake parameters can be entered becomes visible.

SS, S1 are map spectral acceleration coefficients. These values are obtained from the AFAD website by marking on the map according to the address of the building.

Building Type: Enables automatic retrieval of R and D values from TBDY2018 Table 4.1 according to the building types defined in Section 11.

Masonry building types are given below (TBDY2018 Article 11.1.2):

(a) Unreinforced masonry building: a limited ductility building type where structural walls are constructed using only masonry units and mortar without reinforcement.

(b) Reinforced masonry building: high ductility buildings obtained by placing reinforcement in structural walls constructed using masonry units and mortar in accordance with the rules given in this Section.

(c) Reinforced panel masonry building: high ductility buildings where structural walls are constructed by assembling reinforced concrete panel components prefabricated in the factory, using grouted joints.

Soil Class: When the soil class is selected, Fs and F1 coefficients are automatically retrieved from the code.

Building Importance Coefficient (I): The building importance coefficient is selected according to the building usage class (TBDY2018 Table 3.1).

R and D Coefficients: R (Structural System Behavior Coefficient) and D (Overstrength Coefficient) values are automatically determined based on the selected building type. These values can also be manually adjusted if needed.
