Creating Ribs/Grid on Selected Slab
Let us create a timber floor system where the main beam direction is in the X direction for slabs 1 and 4, and in the Y direction for slabs 2 and 3, in a structure with the floor plan shown in the figure below.

2- Select slabs 1 and 3 where the main beam direction will be in the X direction. Right-click on the slab and click the "Create ribs/grid on selected slab" option.

3- In the form that appears, enter the rib/grid spacing as 60 cm. Offset distance is 0. With the division direction selected as X, click the "Convert to rib" button.

4- The form requests the properties of the beams to be created. Enter beam width and height in the input fields. Select timber beam as the element type. Assign timber material using the "Select material" button.

5- When you click the OK buttons, timber beams are created in the X direction. If the division is not as desired, it can be undone with the undo button or edited manually.

6- For intermediate beams in the Y direction, select slabs 2 and 4, right-click and select the "Create ribs/grid on selected slab" option. This time select the Y direction as the division direction.

7- The timber floor system with beams in both X and Y directions is completed.
