OUT OF SYSTEM RESOURCES Error

In some large projects, OUT OF SYSTEM RESOURCES error may be received in case of calculations with finite elements.

Solution proposals:

1-Incorporating slabs into the system rigidity, transferring loads from slabs to walls with shell finite elements, tight slab mesh number increases the amount of RAM needed.

2- If you are using the 32-bit version of the program, using the 64-bit version will be able to solve the problem. Click here for installation details

Explanation: For 32-bit programs, Windows allocates a maximum of 1 GB of RAM to the program. In the finite element solution, inadequacy may occur due to the size of the system stiffness matrix and the use of additional RAM by the accelerator methods used for the solution. If the RAM is not enough, the 32-bit program tries to continue the analysis with the 64-bit equation solver program prepared by us. However, in some cases, an OUT OF SYSTEM RESOURCES error may be received before the matrix reaches the solution stage when the finite element model is prepared by StatiCAD.

Since all possible RAM of the computer can be allocated to StatiCAD in 64 Bit Version of the program, the probability of OUT OF SYSTEM RESOURCES errors is less.

If you continue to receive the OUT OF SYSTEM RESOURCES error during the analysis even though you have made a solution with the 3-64 Bit Version, check the amount of RAM in your computer. 8GB or more RAM should be sufficient according to the project size. If there is a program running during the analysis that uses too much RAM, closing it may be a solution. If your computer has a low RAM capacity, you can purchase additional RAM and have it installed by the computer shop. When RAM is added to the computer, it does not need to be formatted. You can use the same computer with higher performance.

4-If you do not want to increase the RAM on the computer, you can use the following methods to solve the project using less RAM.

a) When the option is checked, analysis is performed faster and using less RAM. There is some variation in the vertical stress distributions transferred from the floor to the walls.

b)

5-Since you can install the StatiCAD program on any number of computers, you can install the 64 Bit Version on a computer with a high RAM capacity and perform analysis.

6-Starting from the StatiCAD V.6.0.8.5 version, the RAM usage of the program has been reduced by approximately 50% and the analysis time by approximately 80%. You can install the latest version on your computer (for users of versions before version 6, an upgrade fee must be paid).

7-If you can't solve it even though you are using the latest version, if you send us your project (the file with the last extension sy3), we can get the account report and return it.
